Web Developer - Web Designer - Front End Developer - HTML – CSS (Contract Position)

Job Description:

AXIS Marcom is looking for a contract web developer who will be responsible for developing and maintaining client web sites. They will troubleshoot issues with existing systems and work with the appropriate resources to resolve them. They will have an ability to absorb new skills and technologies and an enthusiasm for putting them to use.

Build and maintain sites according to the project requirements and direction from our account managers and senior developer. Collaborate with Senior Developer in executing solutions against the specified technical architecture and visual design. Document code in accordance with expectations outlines in the project requirements. Communicate to the Senior Developer and Project Manager the development status of tasks according to an appropriate frequency as determined by the Senior Developer or Project Manager. Unit test your own work and the work of others as determined by the Senior Developer.


What you need for this position:

- Minimum of 5 years experience in web development
- Portfolio/work examples showcasing web/interface design examples
- Knowledge of and ability to hand-code HTML and CSS
- Experience working with JavaScript, PHP, Flash (Actionscript) and other dynamic scripting a plus
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite 5 (Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator, etc.)
- Telecommuting is OK, must be available Mon. - Fri. 9-5 PST
- Detail oriented

- Working closely with developers and account managers to develop the client’s front end design
- Learning and expanding your technical knowledge as a developer
